Golden Triangle Planning and Development District (Golden Triangle PDD) continues to develop programs that enable elderly, disabled and chronically ill individuals to remain in their homes as long as possible. This goal inspired the GTPDD to create the new Golden Triangle PDD Pharmacy. The pharmacy team will coordinate all maintenance medicines (taken every day) and vitamin supplements to be filled and delivered on a 28-day schedule after consulting with your health care providers.
What is a closed door pharmacy?
Doctors/physicians will send prescriptions directly to the pharmacy. Prescriptions will be prepackaged and labeled (with contents by date and time to take). Then the prescriptions will be delivered. A closed door pharmacy will not fill acute prescriptions, such as antibiotics, cold medicines, etc.
What insurances are accepted?
Golden Triangle PDD Pharmacy accepts all forms of prescription insurances.
When and where is my medication delivered?
The driver will call to schedule a time between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday for delivery at the location you have chosen. Delivery is scheduled for every 28 days.
What if my medication changes?
The same process will be followed as detailed in the previous response.
How will you get all of my medications on the same rotation?
A Health Information Technician (HIT) will contact you to set up a visit in your home to explain how the program works. If you are interested in using the delivery pharmacy, a list of your medications, doctors, and other providers will be created. The HIT will leave a week’s supply of medication in a pill box. She will take the remaining medication to fill prepackaged prescriptions to be delivered to your home on the 28-day schedule.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Cash, personal check, money order, or credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express). CAUTION!!! There is a 2.75% processing fee to pay by debit or credit card. Payment is due at the time of delivery.
