Economic & Community Development Division

The Economic and Community Development Division is charged with assisting the District’s seven (7) counties and twenty (20) municipalities in seeking grant and loan funds through various Federal and State funding opportunities.  The district's staff is responsible for administering funded projects and making sure entities are in compliance with all program requirements and remain eligible for continued funding.

The loan and grant programs work with the Mississippi Development Authority, Appalachian Regional Commission, U.S. Economic Development Administration, and USDA Rural Development program.  These programs award grants and loans for services including improved housing, help with public facilities, business expansion and upgrading community infrastructure.
