The GTPDD

For the purpose of a regional approach to planning and development, the State of Mississippi is divided into 10 regions known as Planning and Development Districts (PDD's). The Golden Triangle Planning and Development District (GTPDD) is located just north of horizontal center against the extreme eastern border of the state.

The GTPDD began operation in 1970 and was officially recognized in 1971 by executive order. It is governed by a Board of Directors and works in cooperation with a County Advisory Committee from each of our seven counties.

senior enrichment center

The Senior Enrichment Center is a retirement-community amenity that provides a safe place for senior adults to spend leisure time. The Center is a facility that helps aging adults stay healthy longer by providing activities that are especially planned to enhance quality of life as seniors interact with others in an age-friendly environment. By providing a opportunity for volunteering, senior enrichment center adults are able to share both time and talent with many who would otherwise find themselves in an isolated environment.

The Center is open Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and is located inside the GTPDD office building.
