Commodity Supplemental Food Program

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) works to improve the health of low-income senior adults age 60 years and over by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA foods. The CSFP program is administered through the Food and Nutrition Service of the USDA. The Mississippi Food Network currently administers CSFP to local charitable/non-profit agencies to determine eligibility and distribute the food boxes in eligible counties.Golden Triangle Planning and Development District (GTPDD)/Area Agency on Aging is currently taking applications for the CSFP program in Lowndes County which will begin on Friday, May 5, 2017. Oktibbeha County currently has a CSFP program with 225 participants administered through the GTPDD.
