In
1970, the Boards of Supervisors of the seven counties of the
Golden Triangle Planning and Development District appointed
twenty-five (25) citizens from their respective counties to
serve as County Advisory Committees to the planning and development
district. These members represent various segments of the economy
including agricultural, educational, business, labor professionals,
and government officials.
The membership of these County Advisory Committees is comprised of no less than
twelve (12) and no more than twenty-five (25) members from each county. The racial
minority membership of each county committee is approximately twenty percent
(20%) of the total membership. The membership of each County Advisory Board and
all committees thereof are required to hold at least one meeting each year. |
